My husbands docs were finally approved and now we have been told an appt will be scheduled by the NVC with the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General in BANGKOK, THAI. How long have people been waiting for this next step?

In case it helps. Our interview was scheduled 4 weeks from the date that we were Doc Qualified. Now trying to schedule the medical and prep him for the interview. Any help on what he will be asked would be much appreciated!

So frustrated, today I just got a message in my CEAC .....POST feedback "This is an incorrect police clearance certificate. please obtain a new correct form refer to packet 3 instruction."

I have gone personally and also paid a service to do this clearance for me and both came back with the same certificate. What about I supposed to do now that they say it is incorrect. Has anyone obtained a police clearance certificate for a Thai national lately and can show me what they are looking for. Obviously I have googled images and some are different, but why is it that I have waited so long and paid so much money for the same cert twice and whoever at NVC approved it to make my case DQ and received interview date, but now they are saying it is wrong :(

Hi Janine, thanks so much for sharing your timeline. My wife is Thai, DQ on 10/3/22, hopefully she will get her interview letter in 4 weeks like you mentioned..... Do you mind me asking when your actual interview is scheduled? 4 weeks after receiving the interview scheduling letter/

also, i found many helpful past interview questions here .  hope it helps! https://www.visajourney.com/reviews/index.php?cnty=Thailand&cty=&dfilter=5&topic=IR-1%2FCR-1+Visa

The interview is scheduled for the 11/8 and medical is on 11/4. Thanks for sharing that link. I will read through. I am just so scared that they are confused with my husbands police clearance as he has some old offences that show up on his clearance, but overall has been approved. Good luck and hope you get your interview date soon!

Thanks Janine for your reply. And good luck for the interview! I have spent a lot of time reading various forums and found  that NVC can be very rigid and often make mistakes with non-standard docs/info whereas embassy officers, especially in Bangkok, are competent / friendly / human  :)

Just curious, why did you schedule your medical only 4 days before the interview instead of as early as possible? Is it hard to schedule a medical with an appointed doc in Bangkok?

I hope that is true that they are competent in BKK. It is hard trying to do this whole process in English from America when half the docs are in Thai and even translated they still could be confusing!

My husband doesn't live in Bangkok so trying to keep the travel and costs down by making it a trip out of the med and interview. Once we got the interview date and letter we were able to schedule and now there are only two options, Bumrungrad and one other smaller hospital that are approved.

Hi Janine, I hope your husband's interview went well! I have another question and wonder if you can share your experience. My wife finally got her appointment scheduled by NVC for December (yay!), however, when my wife went to update her mailing address in the system, there is a box saying "no appointment found" which is a little confusing.

You didn't need to schedule an appointment yourself right? Once NVC sent you an email confirming the interview date, that's the email you need to print and bring on the date of the appointment, correct?

Thank you!
