No inspection at entry

different attorneys have told us the MPIP  cancels the unlawful entry and he can petition for me here in the states

that's where all the confusion is

Yeah MPIP is a bit of a legal fiction. Basically: if it's approved then yes, the government will pretend that you entered legally (rather than without inspection) and you can AOS normally via marriage to a US Citizen from there.

Contradictions without citations only make you look dumb.

I am confused what the confusion is. PiP is a road well traveled.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Hopefully you ask as many questions to clear it for yourself…and take action with filing it . PIP/ parole in place grants you the “ Entry “ and is valid for one year. …does not “cancel “ ULP but as an IR that is forgiven.

You should immediately file the I-130 ( online is best) and send off the PIP packet. As soon as it’s approved file I-485.
