After becoming USC my wife and kids visa category changed to IR1 and and IR2 respectively.

Now I heard  if somebody changed visa category after getting citizenship the kids lose their petition/place and we need to file new I-130 for kids.

When I petioned for my family I filed three separate I-130 for them.

Do I need to file I-130 again for my kids or I am good to go. One more thing nvc had changed my kids visa category in portal/system F21 to IR2.

Help in this matter woul much appreciated.

That was prescient, do not think I have heard of somebody doing this before.

Same here.  I have never seen an LPR file a non-derivative case when a spouse and children were immigrating together.  That was quite smart.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

When we did ours, we were able to speak to USCIS and have the kids' petitions expedited to match up to mine.  There are ways around the delay.  It was 50/50 on whether citizenship would beat the family petitions or the other way around.

Happy OP is well on his way to having everyone together :)
