Visiting while waiting for K1

Hey everybody please excuse me

if this question has already been asked an i missed it..  i did try an look for the subject but didnt find one relative to my situation.

My fiance is in Thailand an we filed our I129F in May of this year an we have a projected timeline of July of 2023 for our NOA 2.

i know that i can visit Thailand as iv already done it twice this year an am going again at the end of the year. So my question is would it be possable for my fiance to visit the U.S as she can file for a B2 tourist visa so she can come here an meet my parents an kids. because if the timeline of July 23rd of 2023 is correct than it would be almost Sept or Oct for an interview schedual. Also im wondering if she can visit, is it a good idea for to try an visit. ?

Are their any negative repercusions for the K1 application already in the pipeline if she is denied a B2 visa to visit..?

i appreciate any comments an personal experiences on the matter ao thanks ahead of time..

No harm in trying, but I will tell you from experience you will be wasting the 160 dollars. Tried that with my fiancee from Thailand, and the odds are very low she will get an approval for a B2. Less than 5% I would say. And my now wife did hers before we even got engaged, you already have a immigrant petition on file, your chances are .00001 percent of getting a B2. When my wife went for her B2 she didn't even get to sit down, she walked to the IO desk, he handed her the denial, and she walked away. That was it, not one work was spoken. K1 was no issues, 5 min interview and visa a week later, save the 160 bucks. If you need any pointers for the K1 feel free to message me. I am assuming she already started all her vaccinations so she can get the medical marked complete, best place to get them done is the Red Cross clinic near the Snake farm in Bangkok. Cheap, and they know what is going on for immigrants to the US. I have gotten all my Vaccinations there also it is so cheap. I will be there in October thru November as My wife and I are traveling back for her sons I130 interview, and to work on building our house there on a chunk of land we bought, and hopefully if things go well her son will be traveling back with us.

Here on a K1? Need married and a Certificate in hand within a few hours? I'm here to help. Come to Vegas and I'll marry you Vegas style!!   Visa Journey members are always FREE for my services. I know the costs involved in this whole game of immigration, and if I can save you some money I will!

Anyone applying for a tourist visa is already, by law, assumed to have intent to stay in the US illegally.  Your fiance has already established immigrant intent.  With current excessive K-1 processing times, I think there is a very low probability of sucess in obtaining a B2 visa.  But, it's your money and time.

"The US immigration process requires a great deal of knowledge, planning, time, patience, and a significant amount of money.  It is quite a journey!"

Why is everyone saying that the odds are low if the sticky is literally titled "Yes, you can visit!" >?

It is for those who already have a B2 visa or ESTA.  It is not about the likelihood of getting a B2 visa.

So if we just applied for the K1 visa and got NOA1, then would my fiance have a better chance to get a B2?

i think you can bring the all evidences during the interview (show the noa1 to the interviewer) and moreover is you need to convince them that you will return after visiting.

but the still the chance is unpredictable.

The second half of your question is still open.  Being denied a B visa has no bearing on future applications, we tried this, were denied twice, and listed those denials on every subsequent application with no eyebrows raised at any step.

Odds are not good with a pending application but it will not hurt to try.

Thank you everybody for your time an comments. i guess in the end it does seem a waste of finances as i do know that my fiance's had a few friends denied B2's already an they are working professionals so maybe we'll just stick to the whattsapp video calls for now

Chances for B2 approval drop significantly after the I-129F petition has been filed.  B2 application requires the applicant to overcome presumption of immigrant intent, but pursuing a K1 visa is an obvious indication of immigrant intent.

I believe the posts here are commenting on the exact opposite.  The likelihood is lower for someone to get a B2 visa if there is a petition showing immigrant intent, like a K-1 or CR1/IR1.

If your fiance already had a B2 visa, then he/she can visit, as long as CBP is convinced that your fiance will return to his/her country after the visit.

Reading many wrong info on this thread!

You can visit anytime if you already have a B1/B2 visa or ESTA, just make sure to bring proof you intent to depart. (employer letter, home lease etc, return ticket)

I visited on ESTA for 3 months.

Keep in mind they can see your k1 in the system (i was asked) so dont lie about it

Also, you can always apply for a B1/B2 visa while on k1, there are even people that got approved!

The trick is to be able to convince the embassy why you want the visa if you have the k1 in progress. If you have a legitime reason yes you can get approved.

I saw people getting approved to visit their fiance that had enough ties to their home countries or if you had applied for the tourist visa before applying for the k1 or if you wish to travel as a business visitor

With Japan FINALLY opening up. Hell, I've even just heard about New Zealand of all places even dropping travel restrictions soon... Then we will just plan on me travelling to see her instead. Haven't been to Japan in 3 years.
