We did K1 not CR1, I think K1 is faster and no I did not expedite.

Is it okay if the beneficiary go with scanned copies of the divorce decree or I will have to send the documents through courier?

What probably happened was that the person who reviewed your file saw the Divorce documents and  knew it was an omission but the Embassy usually pay attention to stuff like that. If i were you, i will send all original documents regarding the divorce and all other related documents to the Beneficiary as you want to avoid Administrative processing for missing documents.

Ensure that beneficiary attends the interview with ALL original copies of whatever documents you submitted as you never know what they will ask, The embassy knows anyone can cook or fake a document for submission and that's why they ask to see the originals.  I will also encourage the Beneficiary to read the consulate review section of this website, it has amazing well of experiences to prepare.

Good luck
