Germany interview wait time from DQ

We were document qualified 2 weeks ago.  Does anyone have a guess as to how much time it takes the NVC to make an appointment and the time after that to the actual appointment?  We have the med exam scheduled for next week, but that would be wasted if the process takes > 6 months.

How long did it take from doc. qualified to the appointment?  We got DQ 2 weeks ago and have a med exam next week.

Ours was within a week because we already had done our medical exam in another country (Paris, France) few days prior to the interview

We are getting super frustrated. DQed on June 15th. Haven't heard anything since. I've seen multiple others being DQed later and already receiving interview appoitnments. I just don't understand :(

Hey @glenn0 , I was wondering if you have received your interview appointment yet? We just got DQed yesterday, and I don’t know if I should go ahead and get a medical appointment yet or not.
how did it work out for you?

No, still no word from NVC about an appointment, 6 weeks later.  We did the medical exam in Berlin 3 weeks ago.  The wait times are rapidly increasing for this so we didn't want yet another delay.  We are also doing a B-2 visa interview in 2 weeks in Berlin if we don't hear about a CR-1 appt. first.

Wow, that’s a long time to wait. I thought it would be quicker to get an interview in Frankfurt.
i appreciate you taking the time to respond to me :) thanks!
I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you, too!

We haven't moved onto the NVC stage yet (we're going on 13 months at Potomac waiting on NOA2 so it should be soon) but I already asked my husband to schedule his medical 2-3 weeks ago. The soonest appointment he could get was in November. For us that'll work out okay but it's a serious delay if you need it now.

I-130 (Potomac)

NOA1: 09/11/2021

NOA2: 11/21/2022

(NVC + Frankfurt Consulate)

NVC Docs Submitted: 12/03/2022

DQ: 01/30/2023

Appointment: 03/14/2023

The approved doc in Wien won't take appointments until you have the interview appt, but I think they are very quick.  Frankfurt says they will accept consulate approved docs in Austria (and probably other countries).  The Berlin doc had much sooner availability than Munich.  If German docs have long wait times, I recommend another country's.

We just got the visa appointment yesterday, exactly 6 weeks after doc approval notice.  The appt is for Nov 18 (7.5 weeks later).  I have asked for a sooner appt.

I’m happy for you that you finally got it after having waited so long!

I didn’t know you could even ask for a sooner appointment, hope it works!
