My interview appointment is on tuesday next week 🥳

I checked their list what to bring again: is it really only my passport and the fee?

I'm really concerned that I will forget anything.

I already put together a small package, with ds 260, affadavits, wedding certificate, pictures, another passport picture...

Congrats! Did you create a timeline? It would be really good to see how long your process is taking overall.

My wife went in for the interview today.

I (the US Citizen petitioner) was not allowed inside. They will only let you in if the beneficiary claims to not speak English and you act as an interpreter.

The interview was rather easy (die to all documents well organized and mailed in in advance).

Questions were simple - what does your husband do? where are you going to live?

I have updated the timeline. All in all it took about 3 months.

Good luck everyone!

Hey everyone,

I'm curious how long it took for the Frankfurt consulate to reply back to your initial request for a DCF

We submitted ours on Oct 24 (6 days ago) and haven't heard back - we emailed "Frnuscisinquiries@state.gov" and "frankfurtvisainquiries@state.gov" - and we included all the relevant information (Job Offer, some more information about us).

It seems most people in this thread received their DCF approval within a day or two, so it's making us a bit anxious!

Thanks in advance

Well we got a response within a few minutes and approval to submit the petition via DCF in about 30 minutes from the original email. I included a very detailed email on why we were requesting it. Attached the job offer, pay stubs (allowed to work remote for a short period), german registration, and visa's. Just sharing what we did on Oct, 19.  Also I sent the email early morning! IDK if that matters at all.

Yes, she had tons of papers which we did not mail in - bank statements, property Grundbuch, confirmation that petitioner has already moved to US, etc., etc.

She was not asked to show any of these.

Thanks! I did not need any other documents as well :)

I went there yesterday! I was a very easy process. There was a line, but once I was in the consulate everything went very smoothly!

Everything from waiting in line until I was back at the car took about 90 minutes :)

Yes I've got the same I believe. Electronic submission of DS-260 and then bring documents to the interview.

It may be a recent change of policy/procedure.

So I got my first automated response  from the embassy. Seems they are really busy. As all my other emails where responded to very quickly. Has anyone else gotten this email after sending in the DS-260 confirmation (as stated in the instructions)?  I tried to attach/insert a screenshot of the email idk if it shows up.
