Hi!

im sorry! I didn’t know what to title this, but I need some help with my question 51 on the k1 visa

I was told that me and my fiancé were second cousins and i always just kept it that way in my head until this question on the paperwork asked and I want to be correct with my answer. I want to make sure what I put down is correct, so we don’t get denied.

I attached a picture here since I might explain it badly lol and I tried to figure it out myself, but I am having a hard time figure out if we are 1/2 second cousins or if I am his 1/2 grand niece.

my great grandmother and his grandpa had my fiancés dad then had him.

So my grandma and my fiancés dad are step siblings sharing the same mom.

my mom had me and I believe that would make my mom and my fiancés dad step 1st cousins?

thank you!!

According to this you are first cousin once removed with your great grandmother as your common ancestor.
