Hi,

My interview for CR-1 is coming up and I have an updated police certificate and AOS. I heard in a Facebook group that I must upload that prior to the interview but my lawyer shared that no I do not nor could I.
Can someone here confirm if I need to upload documents prior to interview or not?

we uploaded and submitted additional docs via ceac about a week prior to the interview. You do not have to as you can bring them to the interview, but sometimes (at least in our case) they don't look at anything you bring with you.

I think it's consulate dependent. In Ho Chi Minh City, we took it with us at the interview. The first clerk went through all the documents and prepared them for the interviewing officer. Interview took place about 20 minutes after the initial encounter with the clerk. I've always found it helpful to email the location of the interview and ask them.
