Hi, my wife is a US citizen and we are filling petition for family-based green card. I am looking to file an Application for Travel Document form I-131 and the one that is available currently on the USCIS website says it expires on 04/30/2022 and that's the only form I can find to download. Can you please let me know how I can find an updated version of Form I-131 which is not expired? If there is none available, is it okay for us to use the one that is available and expired? Please let me know your opinion. Thanks in advance!

Best,

Raja

You can't.  Read more about which version is accepted.  Expired doesn't mean what you think it means.  LOL

Also this is a spouse visa forum.  I-131 is not used in a visa process.  Are you adjusting status from within the USA?

The OMB expiration date on the top-right corner of the form does NOT matter.  It is a date internal to the federal government and irrelevant to applicants.  What matters is the edition date at the bottom-left corner of the form.  Whatever form edition is listed on the official USCIS page is the latest version -- https://www.uscis.gov/i-131

Edition Date

04/24/19 C. We will publish a new edition of this form soon. In the meantime, you may continue using the 04/24/19 C and 04/24/19 editions despite the expiration date. You can find the edition date at the bottom of the page on the form and instructions.
