3 checks or 1 check?

We are applying for the Green Card, Advance Parole, and EAD. We are sending the forms prior to July 31.

Do I need to write 1 check total or 3 separate checks (1 for I-485, 1 for I-131, 1 for I-765)?

Counsel advised us three separate checks all made out to the Department of Homeland Security. On the memo portion, just indicate what it is for: I-765, I-485 etc.

The reason he had us to do three separate checks was a few prior incidents where DHS screwed something up and monies allotted to certain services, like 765/130 were not properly administered. So, we followed his recommendation - writing three checks.

Separate checks is the best way to go. Don't forget the biometrics fee as well.

Better be prior to the 30th, if you mail on the 30th then you are too late. The last day to mail is Saturday the 28th.

3 checks because there are 3 separate petitions in the same envelope, keep the papers seperate, and attach the checks to the appropriate document.

If you are sending more than one case in an envelope, clearly separate the cases by rubber band or clip fasteners.

We did three checks, with the biometrics fee added to the AOS fee for a total of $395.

We did seperate checks for AOS and biometrics, I think it's the best way to do so, so things don't get messed up there.
