Help please! I am filling in my N 400 application for my Naturalization. The form asks me to list all of my children, I have done so...They live in the UK and will NOT be living with me as they are both married and settled in the UK. The N 400 asks for me to upload their birth certificates, I do not have them nor can I get them, what do I do now??
Do I have to list them if they will not be living with me?

I have also filed online application and I remember birth certificate is only required for minor children who will autimatically derive citizenship from you. I don't think its for older children. I just filled in the part where we need to give their names and ages. I even left their address part blank. Only uploaded the birth certificate of minor child.

If the minor children automatically derive citizenship from parents like you said, do they need any certificate or paperwork for applying passport?

You can apply for naturalization certificate using N600 for your minor child once you become citizen but it costs you more than N400. I think passport can be applied without N600 on the basis of your naturalization certificate but you need to check with passport office about the requirement of supporting documents.

You list your children, their date of birth , country of birth and as much as you know of their address ( example Str: Unkn, city : London , country : UK  . You are NOT required to submit their birth certificates ..and will NOT get RFE , so just keep going . Congrats on tackling it online!
