US Embassy Riyadh Slowdown

I'm a US citizen, applied for a visa for my wife back in feb 2021.
She became Documentarily Qualified on May 17th 2022. She's now waiting on her interview at the US embassy Riyadh ever since.

In the past interviews were being scheduled within 2 weeks so this delay doesn't make any sense.

I was wondering if anyone had any information on what's causing these delays?

Also which month's interviews are they giving out currently or if they're even giving them out it looks like everything is on a stand still, I tried getting the information by calling them, through facebook groups and through my local Congressperson but to no avail, any help, guidance or information would be highly appreciated.

Hi,

I'm a U.S citizen and have filed a case for the immigration of my wife.
After many delays she finally became documentarily qualified on May 17th 2022.

She is waiting on her interview at the Riyadh embassy.

Historically the embassy has been very quick in February of this year they were giving out interviews within 2 weeks.

Does anyone have any information on what's causing the delays now, and when we could expect an interview any help in this regard would be really appreciated.

Our case is similar to yours. My wife is waiting for her interview to be scheduled in Riyadh, DQ 13 May 2022. Her case is IR5.The movement in US embassy is frustratingly slow for unknown reasons. Though the post resumed the normal operations well before the others.  It seems that there are bottlenecks at embassies and as well as at NVC. The wait time due to the queue at NVC is a common factor for all, however the wait time at embassies are varying. Some of the embassies, who have the better resources, have lesser wait time.

As of now I have observed the cases who were DQd up to March 2022 have been scheduled for interviews. I expect, our turn will come within couple of months. Let’s hope for the best. Please do share if you get any further information.

Filed: K-1 Visa Country: Sudan
Timeline

Currently cases that were DQ mid May have their interviews for mid December. So you can say they’re about 6 months behind.
