Are there any hard deadlines set by the INS as to when you must file for your AOS once married? Or, is it "rolling" -- that is, whenever you marry, in whatever month, you're free to file. Thanks.

- Willy

P.S. I'm getting married on August 11th and plan to file my AOS within a week of that.

Reson why I was asking is because this article confused me a bit and wondered if fiance's had a deadline as with working professionals.

Employment based is a totally different thing, so do not worry.

The "forgiveness" I talked about is only for people who are married to US Citizens, so in the case of an employment based adjustment, going out of status is cause for AOS denial. As John says, you don't have to worry about it for marriage based adjustment.
