Last I checked "International Graduates" for nursing licensure needed a BSN

But it's been a few years since I dealt with all the International Licensure and NCLEX stuff

You might be right.  It's been more than a few years since I earned my degree in Nursing and since I practiced.  I have worked with some great Diploma Nurses, ADN Nurses, BSN Nurses, MSN Nurses, and Nurses educated outside the US. Some states and institutions have been pushing for all Registered Nurses to have a BSN for some time.

Registered Nurse- Retired- I practiced in the areas of Labor & Delivery, Home Health, Adolescent Psych, & Adult Psych.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Around 2001 to 2007 I had a company set up and was getting nursing graduates from Philippines licensed mostly in California,  Back then California did their own Credential Evaluation and you could take the NCLEX outside the USA and they had a testing center in Manila, so you could be a RN in California and never stepped foot inside the USA.

Once you get your work authorization or green card, you will need to take a state licensing exam or perhaps a regional exam that covers several states.  The dental licensing has changed a bit here in Florida over the last several years.  I am not familiar with an American board exam unless you are talking about the written exam.  Did you also take an exam on live patients?

If it works out for you let me know as my son in law and I are both in need of dental hygienists (we are both dentists).  Probably the same in most states.

Yes I have cleared the written exam. I haven't given the exam on patient till now because I will spend money on that only after finding out that their are atleast some, if not very strong, chances that I can practice in US. I am pretty sure that I will clear the practical exam also. May I know in which state you people are practicing? I am asking because I will apply for that state also.

I'm in Naples, FL.  My son in law is in Ft. Myers, FL.

I do believe the NERB or ADEX (one in the same) are valid for licensure in FL.

Yes I is Adex. If I qualify it and get license.....would you provide me employment offer?

First you need work authorization

Of course there are a lot of things to consider, but this is number one.

Then you should consider where you want to live.  Do you want a climate similar to what you are used to in Canada, or are you looking for something different like the heat and humidity we have here in FL?

Are you looking for a big city, a country setting, or something in between?

Most employers would want an interview to see if you are a good fit for their practice.  Most smaller offices are looking for someone that fits in and can be expected to be around for a long while.

What setting are you looking for?  Small private office or large corporate office?  I'll bet the corporate offices will be more willing to take a chance on someone new that is not established in the area.

Compensation negotiations.

I hope you have given this some consideration already.

Actually, some states allow (or used to allow) diploma Nurses from accredited diploma programs to practice as Registered Nurses if they meet all other requirements.

I think they would have had to have been grandfathered in.......I have been an RN for just over 22 years, and have not come across a diploma nurse since my early years in inpatient.

You are overlooking the fact that even if he provides you an employment offer, you won't be eligible for a work visa or work status for the dental hygeniest position. And i bet he won't be giving you a job without valid work authorization from the uscis.
