When I checked timelines for both Employment Auth and AOS, I don't see anything from Phoenix since July. Surely someone has some updates that are more recent? It makes me wonder what's going on there, or if there are more political issues causing these delays? I thought the auto-renewal of Employment authorization would help clear the queue so they can get to our papers. :(

I'm also confused about AOS since I thought there were only 3-4 places we can even send our AOS. I'm in Utah and it said to send to AZ, but I see the timelines show just about every state. Is this just user error or something I'm missing.

Thanks!

FYI: Filed in Jan, 2022 and "actively reviewed" since April. Nothing since.

Some field offices have had wait times of over 2 years for AOS so no, it’s not political, It is what it is.

Not sure what auto-renewal of EAD is, have not heard of that before.

Just like with any petition, it goes through a lockbox first. For AOS, they then get assigned to you local field office, you can find it on USCIS using your zip. EADs are all processed at National Benefits Center.

So you’ve only been waiting for 7 months? That’s really nothing…. As I mentioned some AOS takes 2years+. Salt Lake City (which I assume is your LFO) average processing times are 16-22 months. EAD processing times are 8.5 to 12 months. YMMV

Thanks!

I know I haven't waited long enough, but seeing others who haven't for around 12 months, and seeing others processed in less than 6 is just crazy. I mean like you said it is what it is atm... which is and always has been a ####### shoot.

Thanks for the lockbox info. That's good to know... though depressing considering it's one of the longest processing times. If we do get the EAD and travel authorization at least I guess that will be ok.

FYI on the EAD, not for anyone here exactly: https://www.uscis.gov/newsroom/news-releases/uscis-increases-automatic-extension-period-of-work-permits-for-certain-applicants
