I cannot believe we are still seeing this, but I notice it as well.

 

2. The lone masked person walking or jogging with nobody within half a block of them.

Don't see this as much anymore, but every once in a while.

 

3. The family shopping with the mother and 2 kids masked, but the father is not. 

Saw this the other day at my local grocery store, I had to suppress a laugh.

 

4. The masked people who are shopping who veer sharply away from anyone approaching. 

This is even worse at Whole Foods.  I know, overpriced and such, but the wife likes their beets and their cranberry apple tuna salad.

 

5. The employees that wear the mask half the week, but not the other half. 

And when they do where it, it barely covers their mouth and definitely not their nose.

Definitely, it was an obvious power grab, and we see that type of leadership traits coming out anytime these folks see it.  It is one of the reasons socialist economies tend to favor totalitarian leaders given enough time.

What really pissed me off was when Monroe county, the FL Keys, closed their "border" and would only allow residents and documented workers enter. Was easy to control as there is only one way in and out.  I own a place there and we were preparing to go down with my wife's daughter and family.  We had to take two cars and show our "documents" when entering.  I drove thru the checkpoint first and showed my tax bill and my ID.  They asked one question and let me thru.  My wife was driving the car behind me and I noticed she was having an issue.  I pulled over to go back and check but that started a big to do and I was ordered to get back in my vehicle OR get on the ground!  They wouldn't let my wife thru because her name was not on the tax bill.  I tried to explain, and they understood we were married but she was not going to be allowed in.  Period.  Talk about control.

 

She had to turn around and go back 20 miles to a gas station and wait.  I went ahead 5 miles to a gas station and called an uber to take me up to where she was waiting.  I then drove her vehicle thru the check point.  As we were leaving the check point the guy that wouldn't let her thru recognized us and tried to get us to stop, but I took off and just kept going.  

 

Just couldn't believe what was happening.

"Our study highlights the importance of preventing, looking for and aggressively treating secondary bacterial pneumonia in critically ill patients with severe pneumonia, including those with COVID-19," said senior author Dr. Benjamin Singer, an associate professor of medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and a Northwestern Medicine pulmonary and critical care physician.

 

The investigators found nearly half of patients with COVID-19 develop a secondary ventilator-associated bacterial pneumonia.

 

"Those who were cured of their secondary pneumonia were likely to live, while those whose pneumonia did not resolve were more likely to die," Singer said. "Our data suggested that the mortality related to the virus itself is relatively low, but other things that happen during the ICU stay, like secondary bacterial pneumonia, offset that."

 

The study findings also negate the cytokine storm theory, said Singer, also the Lawrence Hicks Professor of Pulmonary Medicine at Feinberg.
