Just checked the Gatorade website and a regular bottle of Gatorade contains 56 grams of sugar.. You aren't addicted to Gatorade.. you are addicted to sugar..

I hear that Propel is good to drink, might help you cut back, but i couldn't find the sugar content on their website.

Water is always better for you.. Sugar is bad.. it probably is contributing to weight gain my friend!

Gatorade has a lot of sugar I also agree with others here

Propel or AKA Gatorade light has only 2gms of sugar per 8oz serving.

Also Try Cytomax less sugar/ Sodium than Gatorade.

Gatorade is great for a hangover.

gatorade is also great for recovering from the Flu or if you have stomach illness

The original Gatorade contained water, sucrose (table sugar) and glucose-fructose syrups, citric acid, sodium chloride (table salt), sodium citrate, monopotassium phosphate, and flavoring/coloring ingredients. In 2007, Gatorade reformulated their bottled drinks to use high fructose corn syrup as a sweetener. Some Gatorade flavorings use brominated vegetable oil to provide stability to the flavor emulsion[3].

Eat fruit.. sounds silly but it will naturally raise your blood sugars.. it will stop the craving.. Promise.

Yep...the advertising is deceptive to say the least. Watch out for HFCS...it's f##king everywhere and I believe it's greatly contributing to the obesity epidemic among our youth.

Wow, and I thought my two bottles a day was excessive :P I guess it's better than bottles of scotch

Hmmmm...I would opt for a bottle of The Glenlivet scotch over Gatorade any day! ;)

i know its too much (or i even thought im making a big difference for my body but i was wrong)... i dont drink or not used to drinking any tea so that'll be a hard option for me. maybe a water would be the easiest, yet i still have that urge for something sweet whenever i drink... maybe il drink gatorade whenever we'll have outdoor activity. that way im not shutting it down completely

You have to remember, Gatorade is good to replace the electrolytes lost during physical activity...but, with the high content of sugar, and sodium (which will dehydrate you) ...it is best to get a good dose of H2O in your system. Try adding a lemon slice, or even buying KoolAide or Crystal Light drinks to add a little flavour if you can't tolerate the plain water. (which is best ice cold anyhow in mho)

Propel is ok, yes..and less sugar and sodium than Gatorade...but have you ever really looked at the ingredients? I'm at the point..if I cant pronounce them...it's not going in my body. :P lol It suppose to be fitness water...yet a whole bunch of big words are added as well. :P

Another thing you have to watch out for are the artificial sweeteners, like aspartame and sucralose.. they are terrible for you and are completely artificial (all they are is chemicals)...... stevia is a great alternative to those.. no calories and completely natural! and very sweet... and if you get the right one will add fibre to your diet too!

I too am a recovering Gatorade addict :) Used to LOVE that sweet Fruit Punch flavor!

I know I should, but I just can't stand plain old water. So, I switched to a product named "Vitaminwater" by a company called Glaceau. It's in most grocery stores here in Southen California. I don't know about other areas of the country.

They have lots of different flavor choices and while it is far from being as "naturally pure" as water, it's a heck of a lot better than Gatorade!

16oz bottle contains 50 Calories, 13grams of Sugar (crystalline Fructose...not as bad as that High Fructoe Corn Syrup (HFCS)) and the best part ....0mg of Sodium.

Warm Regards,

Samby

that would explain why me and my husband are gaining weight so much.....

We buy a pack of 24 bottles of Gatorade Rain every 1-2weeks and our pack of 24 bottles of water has last over a month....

Alright, from now on ill just add Crystal light to my water and no more Gatorade!! And I thought I was doing a good thing since its soo warm and humid outside and I didnt want to get dehydrated

Bye bye gatorade!!
