Form I 693 and medical exam in sealed envelope

I just entered the US with my K1 visa. I am preparing all forms nd still have a sealed envelope with me, that the doctor in portugal gave me.

Is this envelope for the Green card interview (if interview happens less than 1 year from exam date)?

Or do I  need to send the envelope together with form I 485, I131, I 765 and I 693?

 bit confused with this.

Thanks

You were supposed to hand it to the CBP officer at the port of entry. You will need to go to CBP deferred inspection site at a nearest airport and ask them to process the envelope. Do not open the envelope

I gave them a sealed envelope the Embassy sent me when they returned my passport with Visa.
I just have this other envelope that the doctor sent by mail to me after my medical exam and that the CBP officer did not asked for it.

Likely the chest X-ray disc and not needed for AOS.

This would be good to include in your original post, sealed envelope usually refers to the one to be given at POE. What you’re referring to is your your personal use, I would include a copy of DS-3025 with your AOS packet

Got it!

So inside of that envelope is my copy of the medical exam with that DS-3025 (vaccines), X Ray, etc.

thank you

Does your DS-3025 say that your vaccinations are complete?  If so, just include a copy in your I-485 package.  Make sure you still keep a copy of the DS-3025 for yourself to bring to the interview, just in case.

If your DS-3025 does not clearly indicate that you completed the required vaccinations, then you will need to submit an I-693 signed by a civil surgeon.

The whole medical envelope deal could definitely be made clearer somewhere, IMO. Bottom line is that if your DS-3025 (the vaccine records) says 'K applicant voluntarily completed requirements' or something along that line, just submit that in place of the I-693. I also wrote in the cover letter the reason for including that form in place of the I-693, just to cover all bases.

Not sure what happens with the X-Ray, but it's not included in the AOS package.

100% agree. Every country seems to do it slightly differently and it is just one bit of stress which could be dealt with by clearer instructions about what happens and why.

When I entered on K1 I handed it over but freaked out because the CBP officer left it atop his desk (within reach of passengers he was processing) long after he had paroled me in (I could see his booth through a window and probably watched it for 20-30 mins as I waited for my bag). With hindsight he probably put it there as he had no space elsewhere, but the lack of clarity of this part of the process made me worry that I was supposed to grab it back from him after he had stamped and written on it.

I still have the X-ray to this day. Nobody has ever looked at my copy.
