No Marriage Picture, Visa Application Being Questioned by Consulate

Folks, there has also been an immigrant visa interview, during which the Consular Officer was not convinced the relationship is bona fide.  Sometimes they are wrong.  Without a detailed report of the entire interview experience, we can only speculate.  But....from what we DO know, it doesn't look good.

Some people get married only to get a greencard, is this what your friend did? This seems to be what the CO is thinking. If she got married only for a greencard then I can understand why she is scared. If that isn't the case, then she has no reason to be scared.

If she fight the USCIS ? law to law . can she be granted? she said she is now under psychology because she is getting stressed

USCIS doesn't issue visas.  We don't know much about the case or the couple.  Why is the petitioner not here seeking advice?  He could explain much better than you can.  No government official is going to change their mind based on how stressed she is.  What's even more stressful to a Filipino than the fear they will not be with the love of their life, is the fear of being caught in a big lie and having to pay the consequences.  Neither makes a difference.  Actual facts make the difference.  Those are in very short supply in this topic.

Where is the USC in this situation?

How many times has he visited her? When was the last time he visited?

If they have a good reason for no wedding photos but otherwise have a bonafide relationship they should not be worried.

But, it is strange they don't have any photos of the wedding... even people who get married at a courthouse take one or two photos.

Also not how that works.

The law is clear.  Getting a lawyer doesn't mean the law changes.

They don't know if they will continue it or hire a lawyer

She wants to sue USCIS to approve her application? Why go through all this when all she has to do is find (additional) proof that this is a marriage based on love and not only for immigration benefits?

How long have they been married? Because if she would receive the 2 year GC, they will have to remove the conditions after 2 years and send proof of an ongoing marriage (with even more pictures together as part of the proof).

This story sounds familiar.. So they don’t have pictures of the wedding and now they were asked for pictures of the wedding?

Why did they bribe somebody instead of not being present at their own wedding?

Even if the marriage was legit by paper (which I think is up for debate by how it was done) it doesn’t mean that it’s a bonafide marriage. By this I mean, a marriage based on love instead of immigration benefits).
