Hello I have a question for a friend. She is a Spouse visa from the Philippines and she got her interview but unfortunately the officer keeps interrogating her about their marriage even the marriage is legal and registered and she has marriage certificate.. She can't provide a marriage picture . The embassy maybe thinking something about the documents even though the marriage certificate is legal.

Usually photos aren't asked but based on the documents provided, the CO likely thought if the marriage is genuine even though it was done legally. That's why they look for bonafide marriage not just legal marriage. If the marriage was not done online and they don't have a single photo, it creates doubt for sure.

not online.. They claimed it is just the priest and witnesses. but the paper is legit in Marriage registration.

Just because it’s an official registered marriage that produced a valid marriage certificate doesn’t automatically mean that the marriage is bonafide. The consulate is suspecting that the marriage was not entered in good faith, i.e it was entered for sole purpose of obtaining immigration benefits. Your friend needs to find a way to convince them otherwise.

they only have couple pictures that they met but not the wedding . They said they didn't take picture because the parents don't want the man

She has no problem getting married with the man her parent's didn't like but has problem with taking photos!! From outsider's view or from COs, that's where suspicion arise. Anyway what did the CO say? It depends upon CO say and what was asked and what are they asking to provide? That depends on how to respond.

Just have her tell the truth. It's usually not hard to tell the truth unless the entire this is a lie.

To be honest, I do think it is strange that they don’t have 1 single picture of the wedding? No matter how small the wedding. The reason of her parents not liking the man does not make any sense at all…

Did they think that all they needed was for the marriage to be legal? Legal does not equal bonafide
