Anyone whos made contact and who knows the current response time from NVC on their (nvcresearch@state.gov) email?

I used the contact form on their website, took about a month to get a reply. You should see if your embassy has a visa hotline, they were much more helpful and fast for me.

No, I'm in Japan, my wife is Filipino but also here in Japan, so we're going through the Tokyo Embassy.

Looks like this has the number for the call center you'd use for the Philippines: https://www.ustraveldocs.com/ph/ph-main-contactus.asp
