10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I was convicted under the Youth Offenders Act. That's not supposed to show up on the RCMP certified record check.

My wife had numerous (5 or 6) convictions under the Youth Offenders Act. She was on the street living homeless at 11 years old. Nothing showed up on her RCMP certified record check.

It's been since March 7 to answer your other question.

Anyyyyy luck, sir?

Mine was submitted May 10 and that's past the 3-6 week window.  I can't even begin to wrap my brain around this with so much riding on this single check.

It could. RCMP admin staff is affected by the strike. However, most detachment should have at least one admin assistant deemed essential (and therefore, still at work).

Hello!  Was looking back at this post and thought I'd reach out.  I'm in extreme need (as most are throughout this thread, I realize) as they requested this as the last thing I needed for my Visa approval and I have a business that truly needs to start earning revenues or it can be lost.

I submitted personal use background check May 10 and truly have no way of knowing why or when I will get this.
Do you have any updates on things from being in the inner circle?  Greatly appreciated!!!

Sorry, I really don't know. My job has nothing to do with criminal record checks anymore so I'm completely out of the loop with how long it takes. I hope you receive it soon, though!

O damn!!!
Perhaps it'll be a quick turnaround as all their work is actually done.  Just a quick update.  Maybe it just needs to be cleared off their desk.

I have lost my job ! since my employer had to wait for so long to get this process and certified criminal record from RCMP. They took forever to mail me the Letter. Not sure how else i would follow up with them, the only response i get, we will mail it since june 8th. It hardly takes 2-3 days at-least clear it from their desk. Its been a month and there is no action taken yet and making people like me suffer. Who would pay the bills and who will take this responsibility

Hi everyone. I am still waiting for my I-30 approval (F2A) which we expect to arrive before the end of the year. I plan to be outside the country for the next couple of months so, I figured doing the police certificate would be proactive for when I want to apply for the green card after I-130 approval (I’m not sure if this is required in the next step or until interview stage which is still a long way from now).
Do I request for the canada-wide name check(certificate of no conviction) or the full fingerprint version? Note that I have not been convicted of any crime in the past.
Thanks

For Canada, you need  to submit fingerprint electronically via RCMP or their authorized agent with fingerprint search of the RCMP National Repository Entire Holdings.

After a month of waiting with nothing arriving I just realised today the Commissionaires requested the wrong type of check for me.  I’m so frustrated right now.  Is there any point in trying to contact CCRTIS by phone to try and correct it and get the right one done, or do I just start over with new prints? I tried emailing but it seems like they don’t monitor that email anymore.
