I had a conviction (possession of a weapon) in 1995 but that was under the Youth Offenders Act. I have spoken to 2 different policing agencies and they said that won't show up.

Yes I submitted for "personal use"

My wife had 4 or 5 convictions (grand theft auto, theft under $5K, etc.) also as a youth under the Youth Offenders Act in the mid 1990's. Her "for personal use" police report came back clean in a matter of like one week back in March.

We filed both of them together. Every time I email them, they acknowledge my case is active but can't provide a timeline.

Wow that's crazy!  Perhaps go and submit it again!  Seems to me they misplaced it or it landed in the wrong pile or something!   I truly do not know, though. But damn, that's way too long!!!

I was most curious about if there is a record, if a Personal Use check takes any longer.   Trying to guesstimate when I'll get mine!

We both have youth records. Hers was fast. Mine is not. Not sure if having a record has any impact, given those two examples.

Ok so slight update on high level information..
I went to Calgary and got a second set of digital fingerprints uploaded. (probably a massive waste of time but just incase!)
In any event, they mentioned they're being told by the RCMP that lead times are approximately 3-6 weeks.
In your case it could be that they have to verify information and that's delaying them slightly.  So, yes - it does sound like a record will impact delivery times.
I'm in the same situation.

How long again has it been?

I got reply from rcmp saying my crcc was returned back to them, turns out that finger printing services has entered my address wrong. So I have sent the consent form to change the address and emailed it back to them. Not sure when will they repost it back to me :(((( !

O damn!!!
Perhaps it'll be a quick turnaround as all their work is actually done.  Just a quick update.  Maybe it just needs to be cleared off their desk.

Question

Will my expired peace bond ( 2 years ago ) will show up in criminal record?? I am kind of tensed and scared that employer will reject me cuz of withdrawn charges i have on my profile

Am unable to understand what will show up on CCRC ? since i never had conviction but i had a peacebond which was expired 2 years ago. My lawyer said report will say - positive identification with police and nothing else will be mentioned. Can anyone give me an insight on what could be in it ? Will the charges they charged me against will show up ?

I was convicted under the Youth Offenders Act. That's not supposed to show up on the RCMP certified record check.

My wife had numerous (5 or 6) convictions under the Youth Offenders Act. She was on the street living homeless at 11 years old. Nothing showed up on her RCMP certified record check.

It's been since March 7 to answer your other question.

Wow!  Are you still waiting?  Did you email them, also?

I submitted May 10 and got a similar response on Monday.  Beyond frustrating.

March 7. I was thinking of just submitting another one too.

Ya that seems just absolutely insanity.  Nobody cares and that's whats worse.  This system shouldn't such nonsense.  Other countries aren't this incompetent.  It's YOUR background.  Our lives depend on simply presenting what already exists to the necessary people.
I'd definitely go get another one.
The organization of the set I submitted two weeks ago said their told the offices are seeing 3 - 6 weeks for returning these.  Something just has to be wrong in your submission?  Their inconsistency is the muy frustrating part.
