Can someone add my friends journey to the excel sheet. It’s not allowing me :(

id: rfeen

pd: 15-jan-2023 (row)

DQ: 16-jan2024

interview date: 14-Feb-2025

approved on the spot

@monk_yatso Added! I'm just able to add at the bottom of the sheet, not in order. But it's there now! It's ordered by the owner once in a while. I'm missing the IL date (I put Jan 31 as it's what others got) and missing which category of EB they are if you know!

Can someone tell me if Covid-19 vaccines are or will still be compulsory given that Trump administration had cut funding for covid vaccines and stopped mandating them. I asked because I got 3 shots of the vaccine and got vaccine injured and I'm hoping not to get the vaccine if I don't have to.

@changeloga I don't know about that or how long it would take for the change to take effect at our level, but "The panel physician should identify any past or present conditions that might be a contraindication to, or precaution for, the administration of a vaccine" https://www.cdc.gov/immigrant-refugee-health/hcp/panel-physicians/vaccination.html?CDC_AAref_Val=https://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/panel-physicians/vaccinations.html

I would contact the office where you will get your medical exam and ask about your personal case if if's a contraindication enough. If so, it seems the panel physician of the medical exam decides to give you a waiver or not. This CDC website gives info on waivers too.
This CDC page was taken from the US immigration page: https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/Supplements/Supplements_by_Post/MTL-Montreal.html#med_exam_instructions
Hope this help!

What I did was get a note from my personal physician or a walk-in clinic and I took this note to the panel physician who then waived the vaccine for me. Just let your doctor know what your injury was and explain to them that you would like an exemption for the booster

Congratulations, @Magnetron_

Let me clarify my situation. On the day of the interview, everything went smoothly. However, my wife's medical report was not completed, which we were already aware of before the interview, as the panel physician had informed us. So, we expected a delay for her.

As expected, during the interview, the officer told us that my case and my son's case were approved, and our visas would be issued within 1-2 days. However, since my wife's medical report was incomplete, she needed to undergo additional tests. Her visa would only be issued once the results were cleared. The consular officer even asked whether we wanted to wait for her visa or proceed with issuing mine and my son's visas separately.

We requested that our visas be issued first so that, while waiting for my wife, I could look for a job and make necessary arrangements. Since this was agreed upon, we were at least expecting our passports to arrive.

However, after a week, when I saw that our case was not updated in CEAC, I sent an email to montreal-iv-dv@state.gov. The response I received stated:

"Your case was refused under section 221(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act and is currently under administrative processing."

I sent a second email last Wednesday, explaining our discussion with the consular officer during the interview. However, the response I received was very generic. We are still waiting...

Our current CEAC status shows READY for my son and me, while my wife's status is REFUSED (which is normal and expected given her pending medical results).

However, I am unsure how to proceed from here.

I am open to any suggestions.

Hey sorry hear your situation. If it’s like vaccination, tubercolosis or xray, it’ll be cleared soon i guess. Perhaps you can ask the panel physician what was wrong there?
otherwise i guess it’ll be cleared asap!

Congrats! Mine is set for “Tuesday” delivery. Considering the incessant snowfall over the weekend, i won’t be surprised if they delay few days.

She was asked to take a TB test. After the X-ray, the results were unclear, so they wanted to be sure. We were told it might take up to seven weeks to receive the results. Hopefully, it won’t take that long. We're trying to find a way to convince them to at least issue visas for me and my son.

Ah! Pretty common! It doesn’t hamper their approval decision. Latent TB is very commonplace and my friend applied from US also had latent TB. He adjusted his i485 without any issues. So no worries! Everything will be fine 😊

Sorry to hear that. I believe everything will work out. Since you're the main applicant, I think your visa and your son's will likely be approved while your wife's remains pending the outcome of her medical assessment

Hi all, we activated our green cards at the Alexandria Bay/Thousand Island crossing on Friday - all went well with no issues. We drove back to Canada and will be moving permanently in a few months. I understand our Green Cards will be mailed to the US address we provided - what about SSNs? We checked that we wanted social security numbers on our DS260s, but wondering how/when anyone has received SSNs after activating?
