Hello there,

Is that possible to get interview date before my PD becomes current for EB-2 NIW in Montreal?

No. You need to be current to get an interview letter. You will just be skipped until the time in which you are current. Then you will be invited.

Hi all,

I am preparing the required documents for my upcoming interview and just realized that I don't have the original translation of my birth certificate. Do you think it would be acceptable to have a new translation done and bring it along with a copy of the previous one?

It shouldn't be an issue. I've done the same—I provided a new translation to the officer, and it was accepted without any problems.

@monk_yatsoand @Magnetron_Did anyone have to submit copies of their documents or just taking the originals is enough?

They’ll make copies by themselves. I carried extra copies which they didn’t check at all

It's annoying that you go through all the effort of making copies and they don't even take them.  At least that was my perception when I interviewed!

Hi all! We're going to the border to activate our green cards tomorrow and just want to make sure there aren't any documents we need to bring in addition to the packets from the consulate and our passports with the IV inside? I've paid the USCIS immigrant fee for our actual green cards and have the receipt for that. Is there anything else anyone was asked to show at the border?

Hi @JesusisLord24, I believe you have your interview today. I hope it goes really well for you. Please share your experience if you'd like to.

Yes, my interview was at 9.15am. everything is as everyone else described. Process was really easy as long as you have all the required documents.

It took me about 2.5hours in total from entry till I left. First step was document review, then fingerprinting, then interview. My visa was approved at the end and status has changed to issued on CEAC.

Thanks to everyone in this group for your help. Will let you know when I receive my passport back

I got 221g form to fill out a form 5535 or something like that, and email my CV and list of publications. They didn't tell me to upload documents. Did I get AP? What does this mean?

@traveller_1369any updates on your situation?
