They sent out the same email that the NVC is done processing the case and it sent it to Montreal, attaching the interview letter. Basically, same one we got on Dec 30.

Odd. I was part of the November batch. Got one NVC email, and two (duplicate) emails from Montreal.

My EB1-A interview is next week in Montreal and I'm getting a folder of printed documents.

Aside from the required civil documents listed on their website, what else would be advantageous to bring? An updated resume? University degrees/transcripts? Copies of the reference letters?

Do I need additional evidence or is that not necessary considering I'm past the petition stage?

I don't have a job offer yet as I'm EB-1, so I want to provide anything that can help without a hard offer in hand.

As EB-1A you do not need any job offer. You just tell them that you have many plans and will start looking for a job after you land. I plan to bring an updated resume and originals of my main degrees. Good luck with your friends interview!
