I wouldn't tell this at the interview. I would just say that you are planning on wrapping things up and moving to the US as soon as possible (which is true).
 

It's the same for my husband, he needs to finish something with his degree and will stay behind for around 1 to 1.5 year. So we are planning to go to the US for a couple of months upon issuance of the greencard and get him an i-131 Re-entry Permit just in case before he goes back to Canada to finish things up (but we won’t say that at the interview).

Did anyone else get this email from an email address? Interview is in January.

I was wondering- was your name also listed as Last name then First name in the email with a space before the comma? The name is formatted funnily and wondering if it's spam... or if it's that way for everyone. 

It came from a funny iContact email address: donotreply+visa-info.com@icontactmail3.com

Yes, I’ve received the exact same email, not for myself but for my son. However, I’ve already registered delivery for us. I thought there might be an issue with my son’s delivery registration, so I tried to verify it with the consular office but was directed to the following page: http://canada.usvisa-info.com, where we had already completed the delivery registration. I’m not sure what else to do at this point.

May I ask how your name was displayed after "Dear"? 

Maybe it just goes to the primary applicant only...

I received the same email at my email address but addressed to my wife. I don't think it's anything important.

Were you able to see whether it was addressed Dear Lastname Firstname or vice versa?
