Unfortunately, we can't send our passport from the US because it doesn't accept non Canadian addresses.  The officer told us once they request the passport, we can send from the US and they will send it back to the US. Similarly to a couple who was in front of us and they were coming back to New York city. We also update our US address but it seems they have not updated because it still show our old address! So frustrating 😫

ahh...
so its different for you, I hope you get their reply with instructions to send passports(I got email reply after 2 weeks). Just hang in there :)

Quick update:
After I received a verbal approval my status changed from "Ready" to "Issued" after waiting 3 1/2 weeks. I then received email confirmation my passport shipped and was expected to deliver to the post office in Toronto on Friday and I would have picked it up on Monday. I guess I got unlucky that it shipped right before the strike was announced so it was already in transit. While I'm sure it is at the post office already unfortunately it hasn't been received into their system so it's back to the waiting game for me. Just a heads up if you can still change your option to home delivery- it's worth it to do so at this moment.

Quick update.

I had my interview on Thursday and was approved on the spot. Just like everyone said, process was pretty straightforward and stress free. Total time spent in embassy was 2hrs.

Currently status says issued and we are just waiting on our passports.

Thanks to everyone in this group who helped to keep us sane and informed during the long waiting game.

Hopefully all goes well when we cross the border too.

Thanks everyone.

Great to know. My DQ is Oct. 26, 2023. So I'm assuming I'll be in the next round.
