My wife and I got medical examinations six years ago when we lived in the US. We have copies of our I-693 forms from back then indicating that we had received the required vaccinations. Can we use these forms as proof of our vaccination when we do the medical exam again in Montreal?

Yes.  But you should check to make sure that you're up to date on anything new that may have been added.  I think it's HepB, in addition to the covid vaccine, that catches people out.

Hello Group, Did anyone who have had their interview early Sep (6th - 10th) get any new updates from consulate informing about a delay?

In my case I had the EB2 interview on 6th and was approved in the interview. The status changed the same day on 09/06 to 'Issued' but was marked back as 'Ready' on 09/13.

There have been no further updates since then and I did not receive any mail from MTL.

Did anyone in the same boat email them recently and got any response? Should I be reaching out to them now to check or should I just wait until Oct 1st ?

We had ours on the 9th and no updates. Someone who was ir1 also had there interview on the 9th and received their passport on 17th. So I'm fully of the opinion we are all waiting until the 1st. Our plan is to email on the 1st and find out what's happening.

I’m in the same situation as you (Interview on Sep 6th).

Why did the officer tell us we would receive our passports in 10 days if he knew we would be waiting until after October 1st?

My circumstances are a bit different, as I need to return to work and my daughter needs to get back to her university classes.

I'm presuming they were unaware of when the visas were going to run out. And it happened before they anticipated. I'm just hoping they all get mailed out on the 1st/2nd and we aren't reset to waiting 10 working days from the 1st

Waiting 10 business days from October 1st is the worst-case scenario for us, but there’s nothing we can do to change it. I’m still hoping we’ll receive our passports with the visas this week. This has been the longest time I’ve spent in Canada since moving south six years ago. It’s a beautiful country, but unfortunately, there’s still a lack of opportunities for professionals.

Any IR/CR updates this week?

I am just concerned that since they are out of visas they may not be issuing any more ILs till Oct 1

Ir/cr are not under any visa number capacity. They can issue an unlimited number. So the financial year does not affect that.

So far the ir1/cr1 letters have not come out.

As they have already put out the October dates and employment got letters for that I dont think they would stop putting out eb letters

Ir/cr tends to get their letters on the last week of the month, then employment the following week

Hi all, I am DQed in March 2024. However I may want to cancel the consular processing now due to family issues. My question is will my approved I-140 still be valid for future use?

Which eb are you? The priority date for some of the eb classes may take multiple years.

You may want to stay in the queue and then adjust further down the line. If eb2 row continues to have the same number of people apply it could rocket to 5-10 years to become current.

EB2-NIW ROW PD 7/2023. My I140 PD should be fixed right?
