Quick Question: My original marriage certificate is laminated will they accept it? Or I would need a copy that is not laminated?

I have read that the documents cannot be laminated incase they are forged sadly. So you will need to get another copy.

I anticipate that we may be called with the next batch as we are DQ Aug 2023.

Concerning the medicals, my wife is currently pregnant and cannot take some of the vaccines at the moment. Is there any exception for pregnant women and does anyone have any experience with this. Her doctors say she cant take MMR or TDAP until she delivers the baby. Can anyone help with this

I've not heard of any exceptions. Best plan would be to call the US medical doctor now and ask what they recommend. Otherwise it's likely you would be put into AP until she can have the vaccines and update the medical record.

No, vaccines that are dangerous for pregnant women are not needed in this case. It is clearly stated through the CDC link given :

https://www.cdc.gov/immigrant-refugee-health/hcp/panel-physicians/vaccination.html?CDC_AAref_Val=https://www.cdc.gov/immigrantrefugeehealth/panel-physicians/vaccinations.html

The doctor at the medical exam will write a waiver: "In general, panel physicians should defer vaccines when a precaution or contraindication is present. If the decision is made to defer a vaccine, the "contraindication" reason for a Blanket Waiver ..."

My wife and I got medical examinations six years ago when we lived in the US. We have copies of our I-693 forms from back then indicating that we had received the required vaccinations. Can we use these forms as proof of our vaccination when we do the medical exam again in Montreal?

I'm flying to NYC next month and would like to get my COVID shot down south since they are not available in Canada at the moment.

Is it possible to get a shot if you're traveling the US as a tourist?

Yes but you will be required to pay without private US health insurance. It costs between USD150-200 per shot.

I am currently pregnant too and I intend to do the titre test to show immunity for the Mmr (the OB's already do a form of this to check for rubella immunity in your first trimester blood screening. They usually give the TDAP to pregnant women in the 3rd trimester so if she is that far along then she can take it. If not the exception will be easy to get. Hope this helps

Sorry a little off topic question. May I know your DQ date? As per Montreal consulate, they’ve issued IL till the end of August-23 already, right?

I don't see anywhere where it says until "end" of August 2023. It could be that the last person they invited was DQ'd in early August.
