I think you asked about this before. It is better to add children after an interview letter is received since it won't change your DQ date. If you added them before the interview letter, it may have pushed your DQ date out. Check the DQ date when you receive the regulare NVC email about progress which comes every couple of months for most people.

I just got a letter from my lawyer. It seems my DQ date was pushed. It was frustrating after waiting 18 months. My lawyer gave me the wrong advice of adding a new newborn before the interview.  Is there any way to expedite my interview?

You can ask, but Montreal typically doesn't expedite anything.  The circumstances for which you require an expedite have to essentially be dire.

Am I just not seeing it or did the Montreal consulate just remove the entire section with the processing timeline updates?

Yeah. It was there this morning. But has been removed on the last update.

No invites have been sent out for June yet. Perhaps it will be replaced a couple days after they send out the interviews which is when they normally update the website anyway.

I anticipate the letters will go out next week. So we shall see if it's just temporary or not.

Yeah sharing our timelines here on the thread might be the way forward. Montreal was one of the few consulates that actually shared their consulate updates so I wouldn't be surprised if they took it away permanently. Hopefully we see another big jump in the DQ date when the next set of letters go out.

It looks like family based applications just got their interview letters today. Some people started posting about it in a Facebook chat about 20 minutes ago.

Any update on June invites for employment category? I am DQ since Aug 2023. Getting the 60 days letter every 2 months with no updates.

No I haven't seen anyone in any of the categories receieve them. Likely they will go out next week at some point. There's a couple people in this group who are active with Jan dates. So I'm sure we will get prompt updates when they receive them. They normally go out over night. We are all hoping they continue with big progress.

Did they do this at the medical ? Or should I get that done now ?

I believe if you are getting blood tests it is better to get them in advance as they can take longer to come back. Vaccines can be done at the medical appointment. But generally it is easier to have everything done before the medical, as if it is not done it will put you into AP and montreal can take up to 18 months to deal with people put into AP. There is a whole other thread on this issue.

I'm an E3 with DQ date Dec-28-2022. According to the earlier MTL Consulate update(interview scheduling for DQ Jan-2023), I hope to receive an IL in the next round.

Do you know if E3s have the same scheduling timeline as E2s?

Yeah all employment should be on the same schedule. Hopefully you get an interview for June next week. Although I believe they pulled down the consulate updates as they screwed up and had skipped some people in the other categories and were being contacted too much. Perhaps some employment were skipped too. I believe they are aware of the issue though and will be rectifying it with the June invites.
