This is an interesting one. For my interview, it states I should bring an original divorce document. My original document is a digitally signed PDF from Ontario courts.

Do you think a printout will suffice as the original? It doesn't have an ink signature, just the Adobe "digitally signed" stamp and the name of the court clerk. Or do I need to apply for a hard copy with an ink signature?

I would apply for a hard copy just in case. It seems that they want hard copy originals. A PDF would be too easy to modify.

Do I need a job offer from US employer before the green card interview for E2 visa category.?

If it's not EB2 NIW, then yes, you need the written job offer/contract from your sponsoring employer. The offer letter must be less than one month old.

Question to people that have active their IV visa.

Were you all provided any information to track delivery of  green card?

Also, were you asked to pay any sort of fee? 🤔

You have to pay the GC fee ($235 per applicant), and then you use the receipt number to track it on the usual website.

Hi all,

My spouse's employer sponsored this I-140 application on EB-2 and my spouse passed away a few years back. Then I-140 was reinstated to my name later, I applied for I-824, and the case was transferred to NVC. Now my case is pending in NVC and waiting for an interview. DQed on Oct 2024. But the visa class type shows E2. What is the difference between EB2 and E2? Has anyone faced this issue.? Attached is the screenshot.nvc1.png.5ab094d1898946fe5228b97ecb43435d.png

I've just seen this post, condolences for your loss. So obviously the job offer won't apply to you, ignore my previous reply. But what do you mean you 'applied for I-824'? Are you in the US now? https://www.uscis.gov/green-card/eligibilitysection204lreliefsurvivingrelatives

Hey guys,

I'm DQ'd on Dec 20, 2023 with priority date in Nov 2022. What do you think the probability of me getting an interview for some time during mid-Feb to end-Feb, at this point?
I might to need to travel for work during that time. Thank you for your input.

I’m on the same boat. Seems like till now they booked till the end of January for EB. In that sense, it’s conceivable that they’ll issue IL within early January, utilizing mid-end of February slots.
however, they can always go to hibernation like old times

Hello,

I've been lurking for the past couple of months but didn't get a chance to add my info to the Montreal EB visas google sheet. Would appreciate if someone could help update it with the following info (can't add it myself it seems):

Class: E2

Country of chargeability: Nepal

Priority date: Sep 30, 2020

DQ'ed on: Aug 15, 2024

Thanks!

Looking at the spreadsheet, thought it was interesting that 46 people got DQd in 2023, but only 15 DQ in 2024. I wonder why the huge drop.

I guess many people unable to edit the sheet

Hi folks,

A quick update- I did my border run at the peacebridge. We were asked to head inside and ended up waiting about an hour before an officer called us. He asked almost no questions- I did provide him with my packet from the consular. He didn't seem to even know what self petitioning was or care. He took my photo, finger prints and told me that he wasn't seeing that any fees were due. However, that information felt incorrect (I knew I had to pay some sort of fee to have my PR card processed). I went to https://www.uscis.gov/forms/filing-fees/uscis-immigrant-fee and followed the instructions from there to pay the fee. I'm hoping to wrap things up in Canada over the next month and move to the US before the end of January.

Hi, do you have an idea how close the sheet might be to the actual number DQ'ed and waiting for interview? based on this previous year?

Tough to anticipate. Lots of secret lurkers here who didn’t/couldn’t update the sheet. I’d say almost equal proportion of people DQing every month. Only good part is, time to time montreal clears 2-3 months backlogs
