I have a visa appointment at the end of January but since I am from Iran, the consulate already emailed me and asked to submit DS-5535. Since this is going to take at least a few months, to avoid paying twice, I am wondering if I can do the medical test after my visa appointment when the AP has been completed?

I believe you won't be able to attend the interview without the medical results. You will be turned away.

Are you sure about this? I know that in some of the consulates around Iran they are ok with this.

Don’t take risks with medical. If needed (in worst case), you can do it again

Yeah, I am going to take the medical before the appointment, but it would be good if they let you take it later so you wouldn't have to pay for a family of 3 twice.

Sadly if someones case in AP for a while there is no option. Nobody knows whether you’ll be AP’d or not

Hi all,

My spouse's employer sponsored this I-140 application on EB-2 and my spouse passed away a few years back. Then I-140 was reinstated to my name later, I applied for I-824, and the case was transferred to NVC. Now my case is pending in NVC and waiting for an interview. DQed on Oct 2024. But the visa class type shows E2. What is the difference between EB2 and E2? Has anyone faced this issue.? Attached is the screenshot.nvc1.png.5ab094d1898946fe5228b97ecb43435d.png

Seems like Monday might be the day, otherwise they’ll push it to next month

Looks like it. Fingers crossed
