Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum. I have a job offer and have to be in the US on August 1, 2025. Does anyone know whether I can expedite the interview appointment. I was DQ in February 2024. Case: EB-2 NIW. Country: Iran.

Quick piece of information: for those with Iran as country of eligibility, you would most probably be put in Administrative Processing (additional background checks), which may take between 3 to 18 months. Just a heads-up to consider this in your plans.

In the update email I got on Dec 7, 2024, it mentioned my case has been with MVC since Dec 13, 2023. So, I assumed that's my DQ date.

No, your DQ date is when you received an email to say your case was documentarily complete, i.e. you’d paid your fees, completed your DS-260 and all of your mailed documents had been accepted. If your case was transferred to NVC in mid December 2023 then it’s unlikely to have been before Jan 2024 at the earliest.

Thank you for filling in your timeline - it’s a pet peeve of mine, when people want answers to questions but can’t be bothered to fill their timeline in to help others! Particularly with us EB applicants as there aren’t that many of us around so the more timelines the better.

Best of luck, hope you get an IL soon.

Thanks a lot for sharing all these! Congrats on your approval!
had a little query, do EB-2 NiWs need to take latest employment letter? Or job offer letter will do?
moreover, you mentioned they verified your present and past pcc. Did you collect latest Canadian pcc within last one year?

Regarding PCC, it was recent one (less than a year).

I am not sure about EB-2 NIW. For my case, it was job offer letter.

You can check the first email where they mentioned your case is officially at wait list. Top left corner there is a date which is your DQ

My friend (non-irani origin) got DS 5535 during interview and after 2 months of dreaded waiting, today it was issued

Good point. The point is some folks will get AP'd almost for sure. How long it takes is a matter of wait and see. I just wanted the original poster to know that they will most probably have to consider few more months of wait... hopefully short...
