Thank you for sharing your experience, and congratulations!

I’m curious about one thing: the preparation of documents before the interview.

Based on the interview experiences shared by others in this forum, I’ve read that during the initial step of the interview, applicants are typically asked to present the documents listed in the pre-interview checklist.

Do they also request any certificates or documents that were submitted during the I-140 process?

While I plan to have all my documents ready, I’m wondering—should we include everything we have in the pre-interview folder, just in case?

The only documents they checked were the documents mentioned in pre-interview check list

  • Original Passport
  • Two photos
  • Original Birth Certificates and marriage certificates (if you are married)
  • Recent PCC  and past PCCs - originals
  • Employment letter -original (EB2 employment case)

They did not ask for any additional certificates or documents that were submitted during the I-140 process. However, I did take all the docs as a precaution, I had primary folder with required docs (listed in pre-interview) and secondary folders for all these extra docs. You never know what and when they will ask you.

Thanks a lot for sharing all these! Congrats on your approval!
had a little query, do EB-2 NiWs need to take latest employment letter? Or job offer letter will do?
moreover, you mentioned they verified your present and past pcc. Did you collect latest Canadian pcc within last one year?

  • As of December 16, 2024, most Immediate Relative and fiancé(e) visa cases being scheduled for interview in Montreal were documentarily complete at the National Visa Center in August 2024; most Family Preference cases with visa numbers available that are being scheduled for interview were documentarily qualified in October 2024; and most Employment cases scheduled for interview were documentarily complete in December 2023.

Thanks for sharing. I kind of assume montreal will not issue any IL this month. Probably early january again

Hey, pretty new to this forum. My priority date is Nov 2022 and was DQ'd on Dec. 13, 2024, country Iran. Any idea why I was skipped in the last batch of invitations?

Sorry to hear that. Sometimes it can happen. Maybe you'll get it by next round. Also do check your DQ date again. It might off the date by 2-3 days under your assumption

Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum. I have a job offer and have to be in the US on August 1, 2025. Does anyone know whether I can expedite the interview appointment. I was DQ in February 2024. Case: EB-2 NIW. Country: Iran.

What's your Priority Date? Please fill in your timeline, thx.

A job offer won't be a valid reason to expedite an EB2 NIW - the whole point of that visa route is that you don't require a job offer for it.

Is it EB2? And were you born in Iran or elsewhere? Is your DQ date right, just 3 days ago? If so you've got a long wait before an interview.

Please fill in your timeline to help others, thanks.

That would make more sense! So probably just missed the cut off for this month, assuming his PD is current.

most certainly yes. Although someone with Dec-14th-2023 DQ got the IL. No idea how they disburse ILs :)

Yes, it's EB2. No, my DQ is for 13 Dec 2023. I made a mistake there.
