Oh, but the instructions states, 'send the passport whe we request it'. Our last update on AIS was on Sept 26th. I have emailed them and hopefully they reply tomorrow. Do you think we should just send our passports even before they request them?

@Quebekwa ndui I believe 221g with the request to submit passport and second paper with instructions about how to send documents is the 'passport request'(I could be wrong).

I was not told to wait for an email, I guess you should also send your passport. Did they explicitly tell you to send the passport when they email and ask for it? Did you get a reply of your query from consulate?

Its says send us passport when we contact you. I think I won't hurt if we send our passport ahead of time. It would be similar to if we had left them at the consulate. Our status is still saying 'Refused' meaning they have not reopened our case to 'Ready' for visa issuance. Thanks for the suggestion, we will send our passports.

Yes, I believe I will be in the next batch or the two next. Just wondering when that would be... No one knows if they send the next batch this month, or if they will have a couple of months of silence...

They may reach you by the end of November

Hey! I have a stupid question.
Is it okay to cross the border for the first time with someone (a distant relative or friend who has Canadian citizenship) who is not included in the petition?
I am planning to cross the border end of the next month.
Thanks

Shouldn’t be an issue. It’s pretty common

@Quebekwa nduiwhat is the last case status update date for you? Did it change after interview?

Just wanted to say, make sure you get tracking number when you mail your passport. Best of luck!

At AIS, nothing was update. But when we check the status of the case, it shows 'Refused'. So it went from in NVC to in Montreal  to now Refused  - with instructions saying follow the instructions that the officer gave you and your case will be updated once the officer adjudicate it again.

Unfortunately, we can't send our passport from the US because it doesn't accept non Canadian addresses.  The officer told us once they request the passport, we can send from the US and they will send it back to the US. Similarly to a couple who was in front of us and they were coming back to New York city. We also update our US address but it seems they have not updated because it still show our old address! So frustrating 😫
