@AndrewsNthey didn't request passport in October. They gave me a paper along with 221g on interview day itself with instructions on how to submit documents. I waited till second week of October and then mailed my passport along with courier-in-receipt(generated from AIS). My last update was nov 4th (thats when I got email response as well). What is your last update date on ceac?

Oh, but the instructions states, 'send the passport whe we request it'. Our last update on AIS was on Sept 26th. I have emailed them and hopefully they reply tomorrow. Do you think we should just send our passports even before they request them?

Hi folks, it's been 3 weeks since my interview where I was verbally approved and my passport was held for processing. CEAC still says "Ready" and I haven't received any sort of tracking notification (I'm picking mine up at the post office). Is this a normal amount of time? Have people slipped into AP while their passports are being held in Montreal?

We had ours in Sept 20th but due to visa limits they told us to either leave the passport with them or if we didn't leave the passport with them, on oct 1st they were to request them and instructions will be posted on our AIS. I know some people from Sept got their visas already but we are still waiting!

Hi everyone, the Montreal consulate has not updated this page https://ca.usembassy.gov/consular-services/#montreal since October 1. In the last few months they were updating the interview schedule status by documentarily qualified dates at least once in 3-4 weeks. Does anyone have an idea on the current status - are they still stuck in September 2023 DQs or has the line moved? Any information will be much appreciated!

I got my passport yesterday. It took them only 3 days to send the passports after the interview. This was very quick - I was not expecting that. Picked up the passport in the afternoon and drove to the land border at Niagara at night. Activated the green card and drove back into Canada. The activation/first entry process was very straightforward. Officer was really nice, polite and helpful. He explained that I could use the endorsement on the Immigrant Visa for multiple entry exit till I receive the green card in mail. Overall it took 45 mins at the land border.

Happy to answer any questions.

Amazing! I just left a comment about how it's been 3 weeks since I was approved and it's crickets on my passport being mailed out. On CEAC did your status actually ever changed from "ready" to "issued" and did you receive an email notification directly with tracking or pick up info?

Yes it did change to Issued and also I got a separate email with tracking number. Once it was delivered at the Canada Post PO, I got a notification from Canada Post also that it is available for pickup.

I am not aware of anyone with DQ in October who has received an IL yet. Seems to me like they are stuck. Likely due to elections?

@canadian85 Hi, based on your timelines in the spreadsheet, you seem to have had your interview. Can you update this forum with the outcome? Anything to share?

Hi

I shared my experience already. If you click on my profile, you will be able to find it in the previous 2-3 pages.

When they said completed August 2023 on the website, I had not even received my IL and my DQ date was 2nd Aug. So I believe if they issued even 1 letter for the month, they update the website to that month.  I got my IL in the next round after the month was updated to Aug.

Hope this helps

True. Thanks for the headsup. They indeed sent some ILs September DQs on Oct-28th. Maybe they’re still in mid September range
