Hi Forum Members,

Got approved yesterday. Same experience as others on the forum. You reach there on time, go through security - dont be too early as you will have to wait outside may be 5-10mins before your interview time. Once you are through the security, they send you to the first floor - give u a yellow laminated card with documents to keep ready( those who need the employment letter, keep that ready also though it is not listed on the yellow card).  They also give u a number - keep an eye on the screens so you know which window you are being called to.  Window 1 - original document check.

Window 2- Fingerprints

Window 3 - Interview with Consular Officer.

Everyone was nice and helpful - no need to be nervous. Just one tip - carry all your passports that ever had a US visa issued on them. They may want to check them.

Overall took 2 hrs for the whole process in and out.

Happy to answer any questions.

Thanks to all the forum members for their inputs and support throughout this journey.

I know it's early to speculate, but if we have an I-140 approved already, do we need to worry now that Trump is back in?

What's the likelihood that he'd change anything to hinder our ability to cross the finish line?

Congrats!!!  Do you mind sharing if there were specific questions for EB-1 as we petition ourselves?
Thank you!

No, republicans have no problem with legal migration and green card applications. It's illegal migration they are concerned about.

It's more than a year wait. They are at DQ September 2023 right now. EB-1 doesn't go faster than any other EB. We are all in the same line once you DQ. Nothing to do but wait!

Sadly true but atleast montreal publishes their update regularly. We can atleast get some idea when our IL would appear. Many consulates are yet to provide any update
