Hello, do you know how often the consulate updates those timelines? I'm glad to hear they cleared 5 months in August but just wondering when was the previous update.

They usually update once a month. However they don't issue interview letters for EB category monthly. This year they issued letters from Jan - Apr and nothing till the August letters.

You will have to check with some threads from Mumbai directly, but as far as I am aware, they are pretty backlogged as well.

The additional challenge is typically, you must reside in the country of the consulate you're wanting to deal with and the consulate has the discretion to choose whether or not it will take your case if you are a non-resident citizen.  So, even if you're an Indian citizen, the consulate may deny a transfer request because you're residing in Canada.

I agreed however I have contacted one person who was in India with EB3 and healthcare profession got DQ in Feb 2024 and got interview within 2 months time. They will be landing in USA soon. So I am really confused now as I don't find much data on any portal about EB3 with healthcare profession. May be no one never faced such long que or not bother to update or look for information.

Hey Everyone,

Has anyone received the 60-days notification email from NVC today (which says you are in queue with DQ date XX-XXX-XXXX)? I didn't get it and am kind of worried.

I got mine on Aug. 21 as expected.

Hello
My IV interview appointment (EB-2, employer sponsored) coming up in September and as per the interview checklist mentioned on https://travel.state.gov/.../Supplem.../MTL-Montreal.html I have to take a letter from employer:
For employment-based visa applications: A letter from your U.S.-based employer dated less than one month ago.
Since I am working in the same employer's (who is sponsoring IV) Canada office, what type of letter am I required to present at the interview?
This should be an employment verification letter from Canada office, or should be a letter from the U.S office about the future/prospective employment/job in U.S?
Is there any template/format? My employer need to know what information should be provided in the letter?

Please help!

So you got it today, right?

Mine is December 2022. Don't know why I wasn't invited last time.

I got mine as well, as expected. DQ date is October 2023. Check your application status in NVC. What does it say? At NVC, or in Montreal. It's worth sending MTL an email asking them.

hello,

I have my interview scheduled in September. If there is a change in my sponsor's US address, is it possible to inform the consulate at the time of interview or should we inform them earlier of the address change? Any suggestions would be really helpful. Thank you!

Just have it typed out and printed then you can change it during the interview

I see. This is strange. But I didn't get it last time either. Got it April 28th though :( . Please let me know if you happen to receive it in the next few days 🙏 (your case  seems to be current as well, and has been current since June. So it's weird. I have been current for more than a year now (I retrogressed last year, I am ROW)).

Hello,
For the medical test, do we need to provide Varicella vaccination records, or is it sufficient to provide the date when we had chickenpox? Do I need any blood tests to confirm immunity?

I provided a letter from my doctor with the date I had varicella. My husband had it as a kid but no record. So he got an antibody test to prove it. Both are acceptable! If you have never had it then you need the vaccine
