What exactly does this mean?

Applicants that are not resident in Canada can anticipate a wait time of approximately 600 calendar days for an appointment.

Ref: https://ca.usembassy.gov/embassy-consulates/consular-operations-updates/

This is for non immigrant visas. This does not apply for EB visas.

Thank you for the information. Could you please clarify what you mean by "become current"? I'm not familiar with this term in this context and would like to understand it better.

Everyone has a priority date. This is then compared to the US visa bulletin to determine if your date is current.

If your priority date is March. And the current date in January. You are not "current" and there is nor a visa available for you.

If your priority date is March. And the visa bulletin for your category is April. There is enough visas for everyone up to that date. And therefore your priority date is current and there is a visa.

Look up uscis visa bulletin on Google for the most up to date visa bulletin dates. Also note. These can progress forward. Or regress backwards. So you need to check each month.

Based on my priority date I am current but I am not receiving one of those letters. It is weird.

The bulletin says E21 is 15 April 2012 for chargeability state India. What is your state of chargeability? Are you canadian born?

I started getting those letter 1 month after my priority date became current in the visa bulletin. But I have been getting these letters every 60 days with no further action. Anyone else in the same situation? How many times can I expect this before I get the interview invite.

If you could fill in your timeline it would be appreciated - it makes it easier to help you, but also helps everybody else too as there aren't many of us EB applicants around, so the more timelines we have the better!

As said above, where were you born? The current PD on the VB will vary depending on that.

Every 60 days or so until you do get the IL. But lots don't get them, so don't worry if you don't or they skip a few.

I was 1-30 approved  this week-

i am UK born but Canadian now and live in Canada.

is the wait for a spousal visa interview really 6 months ?

I thought it was much less ?

6 months really is not that bad. Many people in this group have been waiting two years. However this group is for employment only. There are other groups for family and spouse visas.

Any update on June invites for employment category? Any one got the invites yet and what is your DQ date?

No invites for any of the categories so far. But its expected to come out this week.

If you go to page 1 of this post there is a spreadsheet with everyone's DQ dates. There are a couple in January 2022 we expect to be invited at the very least

I updated the spreadsheet with my information.

Preference Category: EB-3

Priority Date: July 26, 2021

Birth Country: CANADA

DQ Date: December 28, 2022

No IL so far.

The 3 ILs for EBs from last month were delivered on Apr 17th. Are you assuming ILs will come out this week based on middle of the month? Or do you have additional information?

Interview letters will likely come out this month for June. They usually give 3-6 weeks notice. But giving some of the interviews will be for the start of June. I.e June 3rd they need to give people some time to get medical and for the majority of people. Book flights and hotels in Montreal. They used to be better at giving more notice. But I think it has to come out this week for them to have given enough notice.
