How long did you wait until you moved your interview? I’m thinking where to choose here in Montreal or my country

How long did it take you to transfer your case? Where can I learn more about the process to do that?

Good luck to you!

I just messaged embassy in my home country and they responded same day saying they requests a transfer from NVC.

Although I haven’t received any official communication from NVC I have a new case number and can sign into CEAC portal with it.

I also contacted NVC asking about timeframe. What they said is that I am DQ’d and my application is waiting for interview appointment. That’s about it.

Did anyone receive IL’s? I received the general 60 day email that file is with NVC today

Apparently, no IL has been sent to anybody since last May. I have been DQ since June 2021 and my priority date is current (2020 for EB2), but no response to my follow-ups nor IL yet.

  • It is not possible to provide precise wait times for immigrant visa appointments, as facilities, staffing resources, and local conditions all affect capacity and scheduling.  As of November 3, 2023, most Immediate Relative and fiancé(e) visa cases being scheduled for interview in Montreal were documentarily complete at the National Visa Center in August 2023; most Family Preference cases with visa numbers available that are being scheduled for interview were documentarily qualified in March 2023; and most Employment cases scheduled for interview were documentarily complete in April 2022.

Glad to see it's back to apr 2022 and it was just a copy and paste error. Frustrated as always there is no forward progress.

I DQ'd yesterday under EB-1, PD of August 2023. Also with Montreal. Should I be expecting to sit on my hands for the next two years, too?

Is EB-1, EB-2, EB-3 all lumped together in the interview wait order?

Yeah they seem to be lumped together. At the current rate of 2 months per month. I'd anticipate 8 months before you get invited as they just announced today they are on April 2022.

But we are all hoping they clear the backlog much quicker than that!

Thanks for putting the update history together. This is very helpful for people to make decision on transferring cases to foreign countries.

This is odd. The dates are back again to April 2022 (as of Nov 3rd 2023), but your DQ dates is June 2021 and you have not received the IL.
