Doesn't mean anything, to my knowledge.  Your local office work load will determine interview date.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

can some please explain how the AOS processing thing works please?  My husband filed an I-130 online in August 2022. We then filed the rest of the package by mail in October 2021. The I-130 was transferred to the Texas Service Centre where it has been for a year , today we checked with Emma online chat and we we're told that the I-130 has been transferred to NBC where the I-485 is. Does this mean our case is close to an interview or adjudication since its already been sitting for almost a year at Texas ? I've not received  an kind of notification of approval or transfer. My EAD and AP were approved in June.

thanks

Usually they won’t give u e-mail for transfer. All u can do is wait for interview. Depend on ur local field office, some is faster Than the other

Thank you , does this add extra time though? The local field takes 16 months to process AOS , is this going to be another 16 months of waiting ?

16 months is only prediction. Sometimes its faster sometimes it slower. There’s no “exact” timeline with them. In my case because I filed I-130 in November 2020, when I filed I-485 in February 2022, I got interview date in 3 months. A lawyer told me because USCIS followed the PD from November 2020 and not from I-485 received date. Don’t know it’s true or not but all I know most people in my field office got interview date in 6-8 months ( when they filed concurrently) and on the website itself it said 11 months

I hope that's true for me too , I hope they take the i-130 date as mine is concurrent filing and hopefully I get an interview sooner . Thanks for answering my question

Your interview will be based on i485 filing date, not related to i130. It seems once the interview is scheduled, the i130 and i485 both will be sent to the field office.

Thank you , they are both at NBC now . I-130 was in Texas for a year 🤬

As stated before, the driving factor is the work load at the local field office.
