Domestic violence charge involving a co-worker???   That makes NO sense.  That would NOT be considered domestic violence.

Did you disclose your educational goals at your tourist visa interview?

For some reason I think you know what the red flags are. Anyhow, nothing to do but wait.

OK the details you provide do not add up. You case is all over the place, you wanted to be a student, you came on a tourist visa, then you married a USC. That by itself could come across as desperation to stay in the US, add the criminal charges and it looks even worse.

But, it has been exactly 5 months and I have never heard anything. My case says ' interview was completed and case must be reviewed" .

The case could still be under review. Forget infopass, make a myuscis account if you don't have one and ask via the inbox what is going on.

- I did not mentioned about school. I told everything's true. I told about the school on the very first interview. They know that I am in the school now.

- I did not forget about the charge.  I would like to say; during the combo interview, they called me alone first and asked me about the charge, not too much detail. Then, they did not ask my wife. After we got in the room together, they asked my wife about the charge and she explained. Then my wife said to the interviewer " I know everything, my husband did not make any mistake. We are over that charge and we forgot about everything. '' That means it did not affect our relationship.

- The domestic issue happened one of my co-worker in the campus house. She said all lie and they charged me ' domestic violence' . But, they told me that my case was dismissed and go home. I have never seen any judge, any decision, nothing. Dismissed. During my first N-400 interview, they have already know everything and they approved my N-400 case.

- I am an engineer and I am not able to work without green card. So, do you advice me that still wait without making an appointment? Also, thank you and I have an online account.
- My case in CA state.

She was my co-worker. Basically, she brought a lot of wrong informations. We were at her house for Christmas party, exactly 4 years ago. it was friday and there were not any judge. They charge me. only 2 days later, they told me go home, dismissed. I have never seen any judge. What I think, if it it serious issue, why they did approve my N-400?

I am a beginner for this kind of issues, thank you for helping me. Thank you all

This is odd and might be why the officer said he did not know of a relationship like this

Quote

When I was travelling in CA I lost. She helped me a lot and she proposed me on the 4th meeting for marriage. The reason was I approved, I trusted her.

So you met her when you got lost in California. She helped you and she proposed that you got married immediately after?

Your N-400 was not approved. Whatever they said at that initial interview, you don't get approved until you are called for the oath ceremony and you get your certificate. In other words, you are not approved at the interview, because it's always reviewed by a supervisor.

I'd just wait. Reviews can take a couple of months and you've waited 5 months, which given the circumstances is not that bad.

This case is a Red Flag-O-Rama.

Good luck OP, you've got quite the road ahead of you.

This might be a language issue, but it is contradictory. Did you or did you not mention your educational goal at the interview?

Did you tell the IO about your sister living here?

Your N400 is not approved!!! Please read more about your immigration journey. It can not be approved because they didn’t approve your I751. They need to approve that one first. Second, your n400 is not approved until you take the oath and have your naturalization certificate in hand.

Again, read more. When you filed for ROC, you should have received an 18 month extension later (and maybe recently you received a 24 month extension one). That is your proof of Status and is one of the documents listed in the I-9.
In addition, if you haven’t changed employees, your employer should not be re-checking your status. That’s illegal and should be reported.

My N-400 is not approved but I would like to say, during the N-400 interview, the IO asked me about the charge and I explained everything. Then, she told me that she put a notes that what I said about that and asked me citizenship question and said you passed the N-400 but need to wait I-751. I meant if the charge could be a problem or serious issue, I though that they could hold the N-400 as well.

I’m afraid that if you came here for education, but you didn’t disclose it at your interview and ended up with a tourist visa, that might be material misrepresentation. when you started school, did they give you an i20? If not, 🚩#1.

Proposed after fourth meeting. 🚩#2

A charge against you 🚩3

Just because you were able to apply for N400, it doesn’t mean that they’ll ignore these three red flags. They don’t always approve automatically. They might be reviewing the case and your file.

- I received 18 month extension and its expired. Then, I applied for infopass ( they gave me a stamp valid for a year) and its expired too 2 months ago. I am a new graduate student, even I provide everything about my case, they don't like it.
