Hi, my son had his interview 4 days ago and received a 221 G  with recommendation to apply for a Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA).

Has anyone has gone thru CRBA experience at the Port-au-Prince embassy consulate. Can anyone share their experience?

If the child was born out of wedlock do that automatically requires DNA testing to prove paternity for CRBA?

It’s all base on the evidence they have to require DNA.. my friend had to get a DNA although she was already in the state with her father

i have gone through CRBA 2 times, but the kids were born after I was married so I am not sure I can help you with the out of wedlock question.  I do know that I was told if they thought the kids were not mine and/or my husbands that they could ask for DNA testing, but they never did.

Below is the Checklist of required docs to submit the CRBA . You will find out if they want DNA at the interview.

Are planning to go in person or only mother of child going?

Did you DIY the I-130 for ur child and not realized child may be USC at birth?
Was child meant to come alone or w mom to US?
