Still Waiting for NVC Document Review

Incredibly frustrating for you and understandably so!

We started all this after we married in March 2020 and now it’s August 2022 and we’re still not done!  Delays from various agencies getting documents during Covid shut-downs did not help.

The inability to talk to someone at NVC who can explain situation is frustrating.  We have an immigration attorney but that’s not much help beyond making sure our paperwork is accurate.

Definitely use the congressman/woman.  Try to get closer to them than just an Email which may mean calling.

Good luck!  Stay in touch with news via this thread or connect directly. It’s good to share the story.  Sorry I’m not much help beyond empathy!

After 19-months together in Taiwan, his permanent residence of a few decades, I needed to return to Oregon.  It’s been since end of June we’ve been separated hoping to reunite here in USA before much longer.

🙏😎

Any news on how your expedite request is going?  We don’t qualify as there really aren’t any urgent or extenuating circumstances that rise to the required level of urgency.  Being married and living alone waiting for my husband to get here is a matter of urgency to ME but … well … we wait !

Yes; our cases were expedited to Montreal. I’m hoping to hear about an interview for October or November

It’s September now.  They consider October or November as “expedited?”  Good Grief!  The more I know, the more I grieve for ourselves and all other reasonable people caught up in this absurd maze!  So, one of you is Canadian and the other US.  One of us is UK and other, me, is US.  Always thought that as a US citizen, getting my legal spouse (no funny business)  here living with me happily ever after,  especially a he’s a Brit, would be a simple slam dunk.  Nuts to that dream !!  😳
