Birth Certificate? Now I do not know how it works in Egypt  but I do know it is not the US Consulate that issues a Birth Certificate.

Did you apply for a Passport?

Embassies don't issue birth certificates. Those are issued by hospitals or wherever the kid is born.

You need to call/ emiail again and ask when PP will be done.

Where was your child born? At a hospital?

Immigration journey is not: fast, for the faint at heart, easy, cheap, for the impatient nor right away. If more than 50% of this applies to you, best get off the bus.

There is nothing you can do. You already emailed the embassy for a status update. When I applied for my daughter's CRBA (consular report for birth abroad) they emailed me when to pick it up. I am sorry it is taking so long. Your child's CRBA and us passport IS taking too long. It should take about 4 weeks.

There you go...just wanted you to understand that the embassy has nothing to do with issuance of birth certificates.

Call and make a new appointment to apply for PP. When you get there, inquire. I think appointments are made online.

Once the citizenship claim has been approved, the CRBA will be printed in the United States and sent to the address you designate in the United States or the address you designate abroad in countries where the mailing of U.S. citizenship documents is permitted unless you indicate that you will pick it up at the U.S. embassy, consulate or consular agency. Applicants are responsible for any mailing costs related to the mailing of the CRBA.

So, very likely the embassy has no information for u

Since this is done in the US,   there is a site to track your passport

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/passports/need-passport/status.html

and the following site if it shows "as no information:

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/contact-us/passports.html
