Online N-400 completed and submitted (5 Year Rule)!!!

Yes, I’m not in a hurry either. I can already work, drive, etc etc so really not in a big hurry. The only thing, though, is that my Argentinian passport expires 06/23. I’m debating whether going to The Chicago Consulate to renew it, or simply file for citizenship and then get an American passport. It’s more of a time clutch in case I do need to travel internationally in between. Going to Chicago to renew the passport means taking time off work, the flight tickets, and the hotel… such an expense for a document that won’t be used that much!

I guess "active reviewing" is not really actively reviewing?

My N-400 was stuck on this for 10 months 😅 but hey, good luck!

Why? As military spouse you should have been expedited ….

There are different types of ways you can apply as a military spouse. I applied, so I didn’t have to travel back to the U.S. for an interview & oath. Now, was I supposed to be expedited or not? Who knows… all I know is I’m going back to the U.S. after 3 years with an American passport 🤗

Thank you for yet another definition of what USCIS calls “ expedited Naturalization for military families “ lol

I hold the unpopular opinion that all military ( active or inactive) should get expedited processing. …but congratulations! Don’t forget to Vote!

For real! Getting expedited is something I have never got to experience but I’m still happy it’s finally over! 😝 and yes will do 🫡

I also filed under the 5 Year Rule (had no choice, Diversity Lottery winner) and it was pretty simple and straightforward.  Seven months from the time of submitting to the time of interviewing and taking the oath.

This morning I received one of those "We have taken action on your case" emails...LOL.  Nothing has changed for either the I-751 case or the N-400 case as far as I can see.

My wife's I-751 has been in the "ready for interview" for more than 3 years.
