I got it, got it , I got it, just now the courier arrived smile.gif

Of course there has to be someting to sour the celebrations

I stupidly left my x-rays at the embassy, I emailed the embassy as soon as I got home on the day of my interview, 12 days ago now and have still not had a reply.

Also I had to submit additonal documents to them last week and in my cover letter requested that they send my x-rays along with my visa, they haven't sent the x-rays, is this likely to be a problem?

Has anyone actually been asked for them at the POE?

I don't want to be worrying about that on my flight, and not knowing if after all this I might get turned back sad.gif, yet I don't know what to do, I cannot seem to get an answer from anyone at the embassy by phone or email, eeek

I havethought about printing all my emails to the embassy and my covr letter snail mail I sent requesting my x-rays, to show that I ahve done everything in m powerto get them, but will that be enough?

I've never seen anyone asked for xrays at the POE. In fact, the person at the consulate told my fiance that he could use them as a 'coaster' if he wanted to. LOL.

I would not do more than you've already done to get them, and if you don't, I wouldn't lose a minute's sleep.

The fact that you passed the medical and have been granted the visa should be proof enough that the xrays were clear. I know that the use of common sense sometimes gets lost amongst government officials, but I think this would be an easy case to win if it came down to it, particularly with the trail of evidence you have in trying to recover them.

I wouldn't worry either.

Congrats on getting the visa by the way.

He doesn't need them. They don't ask for them at all. It's all in the typed report.

In fact, our doctor here didn't even want them. We ended up tossing them.

I was very over protective with my x-rays - actually purchasing a hard back cover for them to travel in my hand luggage so they wouldnt get damaged. What a waste of time and money !! No one ever asks for the x-rays and the officer at the POE looked at me strangely when I offered them to him. Dont worry at all about not having your x-rays.

I was told at my interview in March that I could 'throw it in the bin' (my x-ray, that is) if I wanted... the woman who gave it to me seemed to basically be saying, this is yours, you paid for it, now you can do what you like with it! I brought it in my suitcase, but don't expect anyone will ever want to see it... wouldn't worry too much if the Embassy don't get back to you! Oh, and... congratulations!!

I wouldn't worry about the x-rays too much. Claudeth needed hers when we went to the civil surgeon to get her supplemental vaccination form done otherwise we would of had to pay $35. At least you will now be together so congratulations

The only person, to my knowledge, who was asked for the x-ray at POE was Luz.

Bear in mind that there is no one sufficiently qualified to read an x-ray at the POE. There is a full interpretation of the x-ray in the brown/yellow/mustard/ick coloured envelope you received with your visa. That should be more than sufficient.

Oh Sarah, I'm glad to see you got everything sorted and the visa has arrived!

Well almost everything!!!!!

But yes, I anticipated a further long old wait for the additional documents to be checked over, but to my relief, it took virtually no time at all

Thankyou

Sarah ,
