Congrats! May I ask what is your USCIS center? Is it TSC? Are you EB? I also have an approved I-140 now (at TSC), I just worry that my case might also somehow be stuck in USCIS and not sent to NVC

Yes, it is TSC, EB. You can send an email to NVCResearch@state.gov to at least know where you case is. They respond via this email in about 3 days. You can also call USCIS. When you call USCIS robot will answer you. Wait for the robot to ask you what you want and just say "info pass" so that you will be connected to live person. Goodluck

they make you wait for 90 days since the approval of I-140. Our was approved Feb23rd, and they sent it to NVC only in June!! it was delayed somewhere on the way. you have to start contacting them 90 days after approval...

Yeah, when I ask for a live agent with Emma, they simply replied me that it takes 90 days, and shut down the conversation immediately, in less than 5 seconds, which is really rude... And at the same time, I do see some cases with a similar timeline as mine (I simply checked cases around my case number) were sent to NVC only 1 to 5 days after approval (they are also at TSC), this is what makes me really frustrated, I wonder why I'm left out...

so, the best way to contact a live [person in the center is choose option for scheduling an interview there..However, in our case, it said on the I-140, to start contacting them, if our file wouldn't be moved to NVC in 30 days.After 30 days, when we called, they told us to wait full 90 days, and only then to start contacting them, through that interview option on the phone. But in total, it took us 4 months, for NVC to create our file eventually. I don't know what to tell you. It is very frustrating, but nothing else you can do. Hopefully, it will go quicker for you.

On a side note... is your interview consulate going to be Paris? Do you know by chance the wait time for the E visasa interview there?

Thank you.

Yes, it'll be Paris for me. But unfortunately, I have no idea how long it takes... There are so few data points for non family visas. But I know usually it takes roughly 1 to 2 months at other consulates when there is no backlog. But I've no idea if there is any backlog in Paris.

We are trying to move our case from Montreal to Paris, cause it's over 2 year wait in Canada..Don't think it's as long in Paris, hopefully!!

oh my god, over 2 years?! that's crazy.. I'm sure it won't be that long in Paris. Let me know the timeline of your visa appointment in Paris when you get it! It would help ease my mind.

Just an update. My case was approved on 12/10/2022 and was sent to NVC on 12/30/2022 (shown on the USCIS case status site), now I'm waiting for the Welcome Letter.

A small update from me, I'm still waiting for the Welcome Letter, but at least now NVC confirmed that they have recently received my case sent from USCIS (but they didn't mention which day), and that my case is waiting to be entered into their system. (I submitted the public inquiry on 01/13, and received a reply today 01/17, so it's good that at least the inquiry response is fast).

And today NVC will update the timeframes, let's hope the case creation time lag gets shorter...
